Virginia Warner is the Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary School at St Andrews Lutheran College on the Gold Coast, Australia. She is a graduate of University of Western Australia (BPE/DipEd), Griffith University (MTM) and the Australian Catholic University (Dip in Ed. Leadership). At the masters and post-graduate level her studies were focused on authenticity and values in leadership, interpersonal relationships in management, educational counselling and organizational behaviours in management. Virginia has previously been a Head of Middle School and has taught in Years 7 – 12 in Australia for the past 23 years, primarily in the independent sector. Her current role combines leadership, pastoral care and administration as well as teaching. Virginia has presented conference papers in Queensland, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand and been published in the Middle years of School Association (MYSA) newsletter. Passionate about building the leadership potential within others, Virginia was invited to present for Middle School Principals at the MYSA International conference in 2010, and has been involved in developing a Middle and Emerging Leaders Development project across Lutheran Schools in Queensland over the past two years. Most recently, she presented at the 9th International Conference, Adolescent Success, on the Gold Coast, Australia. Her presentation at this conference reflects her passion for adolescent education, leadership, positive psychology and student/staff wellbeing.
