Mario Chiasson is a Technology Subject Coordinator and Supervisor of Data and Accountability for Anglophone East School District (ASD-E) in Moncton, New-Brunswick, Canada. His responsibilities is to provide an administrative and pedagogical vision for the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Having taught French Immersion, and working as a technology mentor since 2002, his role is to assist schools, districts and ministries to understand the impact of ICT in the education system, and to use ICT tools in a meaningful way to engage students in their learning performances. In 2004, Mario completed a Master’s Degree in ICT in school administration and conducted two major research projects on mobile learning; "My e-Backpack" where 125 students used an iPod touch as an instructional tool to support their learning in literacy and numeracy and "Bring Your Own Devices" (BYOD) action research. Mario is an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), class 2010 and he was a member of the advisory board for the Apple Distinguished Educator Program (2010 to 2014). Mario has been involved in many provincial projects including 1-to-1 laptop project, provincial and district collaborative platform (Portals), as well as international collaborative projects. Other responsibilities includes: • Lead person for the iTunes U Site for Anglophone East School District • Site administrator for Anglophone East School District • Authored books and courses using iBook Author and Course Manager, through collaboration with teachers.  Follow Mario in Twitter @marioch
