Mr. McGettigan teaches music and history at St. Joseph’s High School in Saskatoon.  His teaching career has spanned over 24 years taking him to rural schools, inner city schools, and suburban schools in Saskatchewan. 

The only interruption to his years spent in the classroom were 5 years spent as President of the Saskatoon Teachers Association.

McGettigan has a passion for bringing people together around good ideas that can help make schools and school systems better for the children they serve.

He believes the Citizenship Curriculum developed by the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission is an opportunity to do that.
