Carol Campbell is known for her commitment to combining evidence from professional knowledge and research to develop capacity for educational improvement. Carol’s career has spanned academic, education and government roles in Canada, USA and UK with a track record of contributing to improved educational strategies, practices and outcomes. Currently, Carol is Associate Professor of Leadership and Educational Change at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto, an appointed Education Advisor to the Premier and the Minister of Education in Ontario, and Director of the Knowledge Network for Applied Education Research (KNAER). Carol’s current research includes: the role of senior government officials in educational change; Ontario’s Teacher Learning and Leadership Program; a case study of Ontario and Canada for an International Teacher Policy Study; and a study of the state of teachers’ professional learning in Canada.
