Barb Reaney

Barb Reaney is the District Social Worker in the Inclusive Learning Services Department at the Wolf Creek Public School Division.  She brings with her over 22 years’ experience working with children, youth and their families in both long-term and brief interventions. As well as working in the school system supporting Administrators, teaching staff and support staff in building effective social/emotional/behavioral support plans, Barb leads and supervises a team of 22 school social workers.  Barb has an extensive background in crisis/trauma response and grief counseling and has expertise in building collaborative practices and enhancing external partnerships. Barb has been nationally recognized as a leader in Community Violence Threat Risk Assessment and Intervention Protocols.  Aside from her work at Wolf Creek Public Schools, Barb has been a member of the National Advisory Committee to bring Animal Assisted Therapy to Canada.
