Dr. Kathy Toogood is a teacher, learner, leader, and writer. She began her career as a teacher in Nova Scotia, then moved west, working for Edmonton Public Schools for over twenty years as a teacher, district consultant and principal; followed by four years as a system leader at Alberta Education. She continues to build on her doctoral research Living the Complexity of Female Leadership by working alongside and empowering women in leadership. Author of the book, Women Thriving in Leadership: Practices for Cultivating Wholeness and Community, to be released in 2024, she also works as an adjunct professor for the University of Portland in Edmonton, Alberta.
