In the 21st Century, education is tasked with creating innovative and creative thinkers who have the skills, tools, mindsets and tenacity required to solve the problems of tomorrow. Recent neuroscience tells us that early visual spatial skills are the greatest predictor of over-all academic success - more so than early reading skills, socio-economic factors, or any other factors Thus, creating a nation of students with strong visual spatial skills is critical for today as well as for tomorrow. Hands-on STEM education provides us with opportunities to engage students in high level visual spatial training while equipping them with the STEM skills they need to become the innovative and creative problem solvers of tomorrow.
