Hear the story of Riverside Christian College, a rural school situated in an area that experiences Queensland Australia's second highest level of disadvantage. Stuart is 'super proud' of what has been achieved at Riverside by making learning transparent. Students from 5yo to 18yo know where they are going (Learning Goals, Success Criteria, Exemplars), how they are going (constant checks for understanding) and where to next (goal setting, masterclasses). Staff are able to implement the Ontario SEF 1 reform process because of their commitment to PLCs and Learning Walks. Academic gains over the past two years run counter to Riverside's low SES. Riverside Christian College is a day school and distance education provider for over 1100 students.
