The growth of digital assessments and student information systems reflect the growing datafication of schooling: turning what happens in schools into numbers that inform policy and practice. This session will look at how the global spread of datafication in schooling creates new markets for the commercial provision of education products and services, with implications for how private interests can impact the work of school leaders and shape public education
