Sharing our Stories: Finding the heartbeat and creating your brand

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Since the beginning of time, we have told stories. We have told them through pictures, through song, through legends and sagas and through the written word. In today’s world of 140 character discussions and endless cat videos, how do we get our story noticed in the digital age? We all know what we want from a brand: authenticity, sincerity, consistency, but how does your school, district or association do as a brand? Do people—parents, staff, and students—know what you stand for and believe in—besides teaching and learning? Could they tell your story? In this session we will discuss how to “find the heartbeat” in the story and how to define your brand from that story. The core of a good story remains constant: a reason to care, a problem to solve, and a resolution…all delivered with the unique style of the teller.
