Barb Reaney is the Director of Safe &Caring for Wolf Creek Public School Division. She brings with her over 25 years’ experience working with children, youth and their families in both long-term and brief interventions. As well as working in the school system supporting Administrators, teaching staff and support staff in building effective social/emotional/behavioral support plans, Barb leads and supervises a team of 22 school social workers, a team of 3 Social Emotional Facilitators and a team of 4 School Resource Officers. Barb has an extensive background in crisis/trauma response and grief counseling and has expertise in building collaborative practices and enhancing external partnerships. Barb has been nationally recognized as a leader in Community Violence Threat Risk Assessment and Intervention Protocols. Aside from her work at Wolf Creek Public Schools, Barb has been a member of the National Advisory Committee to bring Animal Assisted Therapy to Canada.
